Laboratory Sampler

Huntingdon / Isleham
£15.13 per hour + 19% Shift Allowance
37 Hours Per Week 4 Days On, 4 Days Off

Are you looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same?

We're recruiting Laboratory Samplers to support Anglian Water's Water Quality team. This is a field-based position where you'll travel across the region collecting water samples from a variety of locations, helping to ensure compliance with water quality regulations and protecting public health.

Working independently, you'll visit customer properties, operational sites and environmental locations to carry out sampling activities before safely transporting samples for laboratory analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working autonomously, being out on the road and playing a key role in a vital public service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect water samples from customer, trade and operational sites
  • Prepare and transport samples for laboratory testing
  • Follow strict sampling procedures and quality standards
  • Communicate professionally with customers and site contacts
  • Maintain accurate records and documentationWork safely and in line with company procedures at all times

Requirements
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
  • Experience following procedures and safe systems of work
  • Basic IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 25kg
  • Flexible approach to standby, evening and weekend sampling when required
