Cranswick is a leading UK food producer with revenue of over £2.6 Billion. We produce and supply premium food to high profile UK grocery retailers, the food service sector and other UK and global customers.

Main Duties Include (but not limited to):
  • Complete, accurately and in a timely manner, all types of process control paperwork
  • Carry out Metal Detector verification at determined intervals throughout the production shift ensuring the all results are recorded and any corrective actions are carried out and fully documented
  • Conduct tare checks throughout the production day ensuring that results are recorded and any corrective actions are carried out in a timely manner
  • Carry out label checks against the price file at various stages of the production process
  • Conduct temperature checks at various stages of the process ensuring all results are recorded and any corrective actions are completed in a timely manner
  • Conduct product inspections and compare the product against the customer's requirements to ensure compliance to the specification. Ensure that any failings are reported and corrective actions are implemented
  • Conduct metal detector, leaker's verification checks and record on the process control sheets
  • Carry out label training and corrective measures as necessary to the online label checking systems/machinery
  • Report any failings immediately and ensure that corrective actions are completed
  • Carry out a scale salt pack check on all fixed weight products
  • Ensure that a WIP sheet, traceability sheet is enclosed in each process control document
  • To maintain a clean and tidy area (work, changing room, canteen etc), meeting both safety and hygiene regulations of the site
  • To wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times within the Production Area
  • Carry out training commensurate with the area including regular refresher/update training as and when required
  • To report any equipment defects immediately to the Supervisor or Line Leader
  • To behave in a safe and appropriate manner at all times
What We Look For:
  • Previous experience in a similar role - label checking, quality assurance
  • Previous experience in fast moving consumer goods manufacturing
  • Previous experience in a factory / warehouse environment
  • Able to work in fast-paced environment to daily targets
  • Strong levels of attention to detail
