Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused L1 IT Support Engineer (EDBS) to provide on-site technical support in Redhill. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for IT and a desire to support users in an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to staff and students, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Perform password resets and basic user account administration.
  • Support and troubleshoot Windows devices, including desktops and laptops.
  • Provide support for Chromebooks, including configuration and basic troubleshooting.
  • Assist with printing issues, network connectivity problems, and software installations.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external support providers when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests using the IT ticketing system.
  • Ensure equipment is set up and functioning
  • Follow IT policies and maintain a safe and secure IT environment.

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of Windows OS and Chromebook environments.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Friendly and approachable with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Previous experience in an IT support role (education environment a plus but not required).
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory basics.

You must hold a valid Enhanced DBS (EDBS) certificate.
