KS2 Teaching Assistant

Looking for a Teaching Assistant

Axcis Education is working closely to support a primary school in the South Hams region, looking for a Teaching Assistant to support predominantly across KS2. This is a full time position that requires previous school based or similar experience. Key information: Pay: £95 £105 a day, Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm, Start date: after Easter.

About the role

You will help pupils access the learning, primarily supporting on a 1:1 basis. Your role is to assist the teaching staff with facilitating learning and personal growth. Day to day responsibilities may include supporting small groups and individual pupils with SEND needs, assisting with classroom activities, promoting positive behaviour and contributing to a calm, nurturing learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate learning and personal growth for pupils.

• Assist with classroom activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous school based or similar experience.
• Ability to use initiative and support in a fast paced environment.
• Keen to support learning and help pupils feel confident and supported.
• Clear communicator and reliable team player.
• Motivated by making a positive difference in young lives.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience. This is a temporary position unless stated otherwise.
