KS2 Class Teacher - SEMH (Designated Provision) - Oakwood Avenue Primary School

We have an exciting opportunity for a KS2 Class Teacher to join our Designated Provision for Children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH) at Oakwood Avenue Community Primary School. We aim to make a difference to the education and life chances of the vulnerable children in our care.
We are looking for a dynamic, resilient and reflective teacher to deliver quality first teaching to our mixed ability primary pupils with a range of complex needs. You will promote high standards of attendance, behaviour and learning and have the ability to engage with children's social and emotional needs to overcome their barriers to learning.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified teacher status with inclusive practice
- Bring warmth, patience and empathy to the role
- Build strong, trusting relationships that help children regulate their emotions, develop resilience and celebrate their strengths
- See the potential in every child, even if they can't see it in themselves yet
- Communicate openly and kindly, building strong relationships with families and colleagues
- Plan creatively and adapt learning so that every child can access and enjoy it
- Are ready to embrace our values and help shape a nurturing, inclusive community
- Experience of the curriculum and expectations in KS1 and KS2
- Experience of working with primary aged children with social, emotional and behavioural needs
