KS1 Teaching Assistant

About the role

Justteachers are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support classroom teachers and enhance the learning experience of pupils in Key Stage 1 in a primary school in Warwick. This full-time role will begin in September 2026 and continue for the academic year.

The school benefits from a collaborative and supportive team approach, clear curriculum progression, and strong leadership. Set in a rural location, the environment provides excellent opportunities for outdoor learning which is enhanced further by access to a Forest School programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities across KS1 subjects
• Assist with monitoring pupil understanding by observing learning, offering guidance, and sharing feedback with the teacher
• Provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can fully access lessons and classroom routines

Pre-requisites

• A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience in an educational or care setting.
• Experience working with children within the KS1 setting.
• Two professional references from an educational or care background.
