Grade Grade 7
Contract Type Part Time, Fixed Term
Placed on Thursday 18 September 2025
Interview date Monday 27 October 2025
About the role
We are recruiting a Knowledge Exchange (KE) Facilitator to provide specialised KE support to ensure that our existing world-leading research and expertise at Bath is synthesised and shared with relevant policing partners.
The KE facilitator will be instrumental in supporting the P-ACE objectives and bridging the gap to policy and practice.
The KE Facilitator will work closely with the core leadership team of the P-ACE, while also developing strong working relationships with appropriate academic and professional staff from across the University (including at senior levels), our external policing and other stakeholder partners, and the other P-ACEs.
The KE Facilitator will lead for engagement and bring the skills, knowledge, experience and attributes needed to deliver the P-ACE's KE and communication strategy.
The role will be busy, wide-ranging, challenging and exciting, including the day-to-day running of the P-ACE, engaging with external stakeholders, translating academic findings into accessible formats for policy makers and relevant stakeholders, working to develop placement opportunities, events management (where appropriate), supporting the development and maintenance of the P-ACE website and social media.
A key part of the role will also be in facilitating the effective mobilisation of relevant expertise at Bath to proactively address new policing needs as they arise, supporting the leadership team and external steering group in the deployment of a flexible fund at speed.
With the challenges and opportunities of establishing a new P-ACE, the successful applicant will be proactive in solving problems, confident working independently and using their judgement and creativity to investigate and resolve any new or non-standard problems, yet confident asking for help and feedback.
This role would suit either someone with a background in academic research and (ideally) experience of writing for non-academic audiences or with professional experience in knowledge-exchange and communications.
