IKEA Exeter are looking to welcome a full time Kitchen Production Assistant to join our delightful and hardworking team. This is a fast paced role for someone who is passionate about serving simple, good quality food. As a Kitchen Production Assistant, you will support in producing our meals in our busy customer restaurant - including our meatballs and hot dishes! If you thrive in a fast paced and team focused environment, this role will allow you to experience our wonderful everyday.

What We Offer
  • Interviews will be between Monday 20 and Wednesday 22 July.
  • Start date of employment will be Saturday, 08 August.
  • Hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
  • Availability to work 30 hours a week, including 5 days in 7 (2 days off each week). This role requires working 3 in 4 weekends.
  • Latest shift finishing times will be 21:00 pm when the restaurant closes.
  • These are permanent contracts where you will be working throughout the year, including the holiday periods.

What You'll Need to Have
  • Prior kitchen and catering experience is a plus, but not required if you are hands on and willing to roll up your sleeves.
  • Ability to work in an extremely fast paced environment. You enjoy working in a busy role, where you will be multi tasking and working to deadlines.
  • Be self reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
  • Ability to remain organised and detail orientated, even when things get busy.
What You'll Be Doing Day to Day
  • You will be preparing and making meals using our ovens and kitchen equipment to offer a taste of Sweden to our customers and co workers.
  • The kitchen is a safety first, fast paced environment that requires attention to detail for all things safety as well as efficient multi tasking to ensure IKEA remains a safe place for people to shop, work and have fun.
  • Preparing for the next day's trade, as well as managing waste and working in a sustainable and cost conscious way.
  • Following a cleaning schedule and making sure the cleanliness of the kitchen is to a high standard.
