Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate may be responsible for:

Cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils and work surfaces.
Washing, drying and storing dishes, cookware and kitchen utensils.
Assisting chefs and kitchen managers with basic food preparation.
Keeping preparation areas, storage rooms and dishwashing areas clean and organised.
Supporting stock organisation and maintaining an efficient kitchen workspace.
Disposing of rubbish and assisting with recycling in line with health and safety requirements.
Supporting serving staff during busy service periods.
Ensuring clean plates, utensils and other kitchen items are readily available.
Carrying out other light kitchen duties as required.
Following workplace hygiene, food safety and health and safety procedures.

Requirements and Skills

Applicants should ideally have:

Good understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Ability to stand for extended periods and carry out physically demanding duties.
