Job introduction

Heritage Portfolio are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Kitchen Porters to join our kitchen team at our Central Production Kitchen in Leith, Edinburgh.

You should be able to provide and maintain an efficient, clean, safe working environment in all kitchens and back of house areas. To follow responsibilities as defined in cleaning schedule. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety while working as part of a busy and supportive team.

What you'll do

• Maintain the kitchen and back of house cleanliness in accordance to food hygiene regulations, using the correct cleaning chemicals in the correct areas/surfaces.
• Ensure that the daily, weekly, monthly cleaning schedules are completed and signed for.
• Ensure there are adequate cleaning chemicals and equipment. Make sure they are used and maintained in both a safe and cost effective manner.
• Ensure adherence to all food safety, health and safety policies, procedures and legislation as defined.
• Continuously strive for higher standards of cleanliness.
• Assist in other areas as required by the Exec chef, Sous chefs, Kitchen Manager, CPU operations Manager
