  • Dishwashing: hand wash or load, unload and put away all dishes, pots, pans and cutlery.
  • Delivery Organisation: Receive deliveries, verify they are correct, raise any issues with the head chef and organise appropriately in the kitchen area.
  • Storage Management: Keep ingredients organised and easily accessible. Maintain a hygienic working environment in line with hygiene regulations and company standards.
  • Waste Removal: Empty all rubbish bins and dispose of waste when required, throughout the day. Ensure recycling procedures are followed.
  • Kitchen Support: Provide basic food preparation if the kitchen is busy and support the kitchen team with cleaning all areas at the end of the day.
  • PPE Compliance: Ensure correct PPE is in place and guidelines are adhered to. Observe COSHH guidelines when handling hazardous substances.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform deep cleans on a weekly basis to keep equipment in the correct condition as per kitchen guidelines.
  • Ensuring a Safe Environment: Maintain cleanliness of cookware and cooking surfaces to ensure a safe cooking environment.

Experience of working in a kitchen environment, desirable but not essential. Reliable and committed to carrying out work to the highest of standards. Good timekeeping and hardworking. Flexibility around shifts and available to work at weekends and in the evening. Working as part of a team with strong communication skills.
