Kitchen Assistant

We require a Kitchen Assistant to work at Rawyards Care Come Job Purpose

To support the Chef/Assistant Chef in meeting the dietary needs of the residents.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Qualifications

An insight into preparing and serving meals for a large number of people.

To accept reasonable duties as delegated by the Chef/Assistant Chef

To assist with the preparation and serving of meals and beverages as required

To prepare the dining room for the serving of meals

To clear tables and ensure all crockery and cutlery are washed put away

To work in accordance with the homes policies

To carry out kitchen duties ensuring a high standard of hygiene at all times

Report any issues or matters raised by service users concerning catering to the Chef or Home Manager

Abide and understand policies and procedures Attend mandatory and in house training as required Understand COSSH issues Maintain cleanliness and records as required Health and Safety

To be familiar with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. Any areas of concern must be brought to the attention of the Home Manager or Person in Charge at the time
