Kitchen Assistant

Join our caring and dedicated team at Eachstep Lockwood, where we strive to provide the highest quality of care and comfort for our residents. We are looking for a friendly and reliable Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen staff in delivering nutritious and delicious meals to our residents.

• Assist with meal preparation and ensure all food is served on time.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including dishwashing, cleaning equipment, and sanitising surfaces.
• Ensure safe food storage and assist with food deliveries and stock rotation.
• Set up dining areas and assist with serving meals to residents.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food safety guidelines.
• Assist with any other kitchen duties as required by the chef or kitchen supervisor.

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment (preferred but not essential).
• A positive attitude, team player, and a strong work ethic.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and health & safety.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact with elderly residents in a respectful and caring manner.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
