Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Our kitchen team at Brinnington Hall is a huge part of care home life and the Kitchen Assistant helps the Cook to plan and prepare a variety of meals which are appealing, nutritious and centred around residents' preferences, requests and dietary requirements. As well as helping to ensure the dining experience exceeds residents' expectations at every mealtime, the Kitchen Assistant will also help keep our state of the art kitchen facilities up to our high standards. This role is for Bank Staff (zero hour contracts).

Responsibilities

Plan and prepare meals with the Cook, ensuring quality and nutritional standards are met.

Assist with maintaining and cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas.

Support the dining experience by ensuring timely service and resident satisfaction.

Recognise and address any signs of abuse, harm or neglect in accordance with safeguarding training.

Qualifications & Requirements

Full right to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided).

Ability to work zero hour contracts and flexible shifts.

Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
