Job Description
Job responsibilities 
Support the catering function by preparing food, maintaining a clean environment and ensuring safe production of beverages and meals for residents.
- Understand principles of safe food handling to uphold hygiene standards.
- Contribute to team working, respond positively to colleagues, and act on work instructions promptly.
- Advise on the supply and quality of items, ensuring timely ordering of replacement goods.
- Act respectfully toward residents and visitors, respecting their dignity and individuality.
Candidate should live Avery's values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all tasks.
- Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
- Knowledge in Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
- Efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort and able to respond to a demanding workload.
- Demonstrate initiative, positive and flexible attitude to team working.
- Show caring and understanding attitude toward residents.
- DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
