Be a part of it.Cygnet Hospital Maidstone is our state-of-the-art, 65 bed mental health facility for adults situated in the new Kent Medical Campus in Maidstone.We are recruiting for a part time Kitchen Assistant to assist with the preparation and delivery of meals as defined by the chef manager.The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a catering/kitchen/hospitality environment and will assist the Chef in all aspects of the catering operation as required ensuring all catering areas are maintained in a hygienic, clean, and safe manner.You'll be working 15 hours per week and need to be flexible to work on a rota as its not set days but this can be discussed at interviewApply now to enjoy excellent career prospects while being part of an organisation that cares about helping people.Your day-to-day Assist in the preparation of balanced, appetising mealsPerform cooking tasks & other kitchen dutiesEnsure the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas & dining roomWash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriatelyRotate stock & put away all deliveriesMaintain personal hygiene to comply with Cygnet standards and food hygiene regulationsHandle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet proceduresUse chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulationsYou are Passionate about catering, preferably with experience within a care settingEnthusiastic, keen to learn and an active team memberPolite & professional, with a positive attitude at all timesAn excellent communicator who can liaise with people at all levelsAble to work on your own initiative & under supervisionDiligent & take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.Able to work on your own initiative, as part of a team & under supervisionWhy Cygnet?
