As a Kitchen Assistant - Bank at Milton Court Care Home in Milton Keynes, you will help in food preparation and maintain a clean environment for safe production of beverages and meals, ensuring a high quality service is delivered to residents.

Responsibilities

• Understand the principles of safe food handling to ensure all food preparation in the kitchen meets the highest hygiene standards.
• Contribute fully to teamwork, responding positively to colleagues and acting on work instructions promptly.
• Advise on the supply and quality of items used, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods.
• Act respectfully toward residents and visitors, respecting their dignity and individuality.

Qualifications & Experience

• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high personal hygiene standards.
• Have knowledge of Health and Safety, including moving and handling techniques, fire safety and COSHH assessments.
• Be an efficient worker, capable of high sustained physical effort and responding to demanding workloads.
• Demonstrate initiative and a positive, flexible attitude toward team working.
• Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
