Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils aged 7-11, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons
• Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning
• Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and activities
• Provide support for pupils with additional needs
• Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Promote a safe, caring, and inclusive environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Experience working with primary-aged children (preferably Key Stage 2)
• A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic literacy and numeracy qualifications (GCSE or equivalent)
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Desirable (but not essential)

• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3)
• Experience supporting children with SEN
• Knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
