Job Description

Are you passionate about early years education and ready for an exciting new challenge? We are looking for a class teacher on the main pay scale to join our growing school.

Do you believe in nurturing children who are kind, respectful and curious, and want to work in a school where these values are lived every day?

About Us

Oak Grange Nursery and Primary School is a growing, vibrant new school in the Boulton Moor/Chellaston area of Derby. Since opening in September 2023, we have been building something very special-a school rooted in strong values, high aspirations and a deep commitment to every child.

At Oak Grange, we believe in giving children the roots to grow and the wings to fly. Our curriculum and culture are built around developing the whole child-academically, socially and emotionally-through our GROW ethos and ASK (Attitudes, Skills and Knowledge) curriculum.

The Role

We are seeking to appoint a Key Stage One Teacher who will play a key role in our KS1 team, ensuring every child feels safe, valued and inspired in the next step of their school journey.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing school, shaping provision and making a real difference.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:
  • Is child-centred, placing children's wellbeing and development at the heart of everything they do
  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner, able to inspire and engage through a high-quality, play-based curriculum
  • Has a passion for enabling all children to flourish and succeed
  • Demonstrates high expectations, resilience and ambition for themselves and others
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development
  • Thrives as part of a collaborative team
  • Embraces challenge and is excited by the opportunity to grow within a developing school
  • Embeds and models key learning attitudes: resilience, responsibility, resourcefulness, reflectiveness and reciprocity
In Return, We Offer:
  • The chance to be part of a founding team shaping a new and growing school
  • A supportive and forward-thinking leadership team
  • A culture built on kindness, respect and professional trust
  • A strong commitment to staff wellbeing
  • High-quality professional development opportunities
  • A beautiful, purpose-built learning environment designed to support early years learning
