Key Operative - Quality Control

A well established food manufacturing business in the Newry area is seeking a Key Operative - Quality Control to join its Quality team. Operating within a fast-paced production environment, the company is committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, product quality and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with food manufacturing or quality experience looking to take on greater responsibility and further develop their career within Quality and Food Safety.

Your new role
As Key Operative - Quality Control, you will play a critical role in maintaining food safety, quality and compliance standards across the production environment. Working closely with Operations, Technical and Hygiene teams, you will be responsible for monitoring production activities, conducting quality checks, ensuring compliance with site procedures and supporting the delivery of high product standards.You will be involved in HACCP and CCP monitoring, GMP compliance, quality documentation, product inspections and non-conformance investigations. You will also support training activities, promote best practice on the factory floor and act as a key point of contact for quality-related matters during your shift. This is a hands-on role suited to an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience within a food manufacturing, production or quality environment
• Good understanding of food safety, HACCP and GMP principles
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and address quality issues
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work across multiple departments
• Ability to accurately complete quality records and compliance documentation
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Flexibility to work permanent night shifts within a fast-paced production environment

• Permanent night-shift pattern: Monday to Thursday, 7:00pm to 7:30am, with an early finish at 7:00am on Friday morning
