The Role:

Customer Operations develop, deliver and support excellent customer experience and service to both domestic and non-domestic customers within a regulated industry. Customer Operations is responsible for managing the customer relationship with the Customer Contact Centre, ensuring timely and accurate customer billing services and effectively implementing the Uisce Eireann customer strategy.

The Billing Services team in Uisce Éireann is responsible for delivering meter to cash processes for both Domestic and Non-Domestic customers. Domestic customers are currently managed directly from UE while Non-Domestic customers are currently managed through the Local Authority network. Billing Services operates an outsourced model and is heavily reliant on a number of key business partners for successful delivery of operations. Transaction processing is conducted external to UE and robust management practices form a critical part of the operating model.

Reporting to the KAM Lead, Key Account Manager will be responsible for delivering Key Account Management services to agreed Industrial and Commercial (I&C) Customers for Uisce Éireanneither by sector or by region. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong decision-making skills along with an ability to plan and prioritise their work along with an ability to communicate at senior executive levels within organisations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify and focus account planning and management efforts on target accounts by developing, executing, monitoring and revising account plans based on customer insights;

    • Develop a detailed, prioritised strategy and action plan to build relationships

    • Review account plan with and gather input from the Commercial Operations Technical Manager to ensure plan meets specified budget and customer service requirements

    • Execute account plan and develop the commercial relationship with the customer

    • Monitor and track account metrics, account activity and milestones against account plan and revise plans as per customer needs

  • Meet expectations regarding I&C customer satisfaction Key Performance Indicators defined by Uisce Éireann Customer Operations Management

  • Support out of hours incidents on an on-call rota as required to ensure key customers are notified of water quality issues

  • Liaise with assigned clients and provide advice regarding the tariffs and/or tariff adjustments

  • Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.

  • Work with I&C customers to identify their needs and work out how Uisce Éireann can best meet those requirements

  • Implement efficient and effective processes and adopt best practice with regards to I&C Key Account Management

  • Support the Customer Engagement team in sponsorship initiatives in regional areas including attendance at events after the working day

  • Feedback Customer and Market information into the organisation

  • Produce weekly/monthly/quarterly reports on performance as required

  • Raise any risks or issues as appropriate to Commercial Operations Technical Manager

  • Participate in ongoing Customer Operations projects as required

General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business

  • Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards

  • Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives

  • Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann's Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation

  • Other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Relevantthird level qualification and or accreditation is desirable

  • A minimum of 3 year' experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable and or relevant expereince

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally

  • Experience in independently resolving customer challenges while maintaining high service standards.

  • Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate information to others

  • Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results within a team whilst upholding organisational values through decision making.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions

  • Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements

  • Proactively identifying new areas of improvement and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job

  • Experience in taking ownership of safety responsibilities and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
