JVS Developer

About the Role

A leading energy trading organisation is seeking a talented JVS Developer with strong Endur expertise to support the delivery of key enhancements to their trading platform. This role involves working closely with Front, Middle, and Back Office teams to develop custom functionality and ensure the Endur platform is optimised for trading, risk, and operational performance.

You'll be part of a collaborative team, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions and contributing across the full development life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop JVS scripts and Endur extensions
• Configure and support Endur across trading and operational modules
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain platform stability
• Build and integrate interfaces between Endur and external systems
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs
• Participate in code reviews and uphold technical standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with Endur (v14+) and platform configuration
• Strong proficiency in JVS (Java/JavaScript for Endur)
• Deep understanding of TPM, deal modelling, settlements, and risk/reporting
• Familiarity with OpenComponents, AVS, Connex, or Findata
• Experience integrating with external systems and APIs
• Solid SQL/database skills (Oracle, SQL Server)
• Knowledge of OpenLink Scripting architecture and data model
• Experience with version control tools (eg, Git, SVN)
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies

Desirable Experience

• Strong knowledge of European Power trading markets
• Familiarity with trading instruments:
  • OTC transactions (forwards, swaps, simple options)
  • Exchange-traded futures & options life cycle
• Expertise in at least one of the following areas:
  • Complex trade capture (eg, PPA, Batteries, CCGTs)
  • Market Risk or Risk Valuation
  • Back Office or Accounting processes
  • ETRM system migrations
