Job Description

We celebrate every achievement together - big or small - because success is always a shared effort.We have an exciting opportunity to join our Wind Tunnel team and help create championship winning cars by contributing to the design, production, testing, implementation and support of the electronics and control systems in the Aerodynamics Department's physical experiments.We are looking for someone who can: Design and specify electrical systems and components for aerodynamic test equipment (including wind tunnel and models), ensuring robust and reliable solutions. Maintain and update assemblies and documentation for all electrical components used in wind tunnel models and experimental rigs. Manage stock and inventory, ensuring accurate control and availability. Implement and improve design and release processes for electronic systems, while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. Lead integration and testing of control systems, troubleshoot electrical sensors and hardware faults, and ensure successful system performance. Drive continuous improvement by monitoring, learning, and enhancing the team's capabilities in electronic systems and design.The successful candidate will have: Strong electrical and electronic expertise, ideally with MILSPEC wiring harness design. Proficient in data acquisition, control systems, with knowledge of communication protocols (EtherCAT, Ethernet, CAN), ideally with experience in motorsport/industrial equipment. Understands, with demonstrable examples, electrical system design and documentation using design software, plus task planning and management to meet targets and deadlines.
