The Role

Junior Verification & Validation Engineer

Onsite - 5 Days per Week (Cardiff)

Salary: Based on experience

CPS Group are working with a well established medical device manufacturer seeking a Verification & Validation Engineer to join their development team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who genuinely wants to build a career in product testing, medical devices, and regulated engineering. We are very open on background, whether you're a recent graduate, have 6+ months' industry experience, or are already working in a similar role and looking for your next step.

You'll be part of a collaborative R&D team supporting the testing and validation of innovative healthcare products. The role covers the full product lifecycle, from early development testing through to product release and transfer to manufacturing.

You'll be involved in:

  • Supporting and executing verification & validation testing
  • Assisting with test plans and documentation
  • Analysing and reporting test results
  • Working hands-on with lab setups and equipment
  • Supporting reliability and usability testing
  • Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Working within a regulated medical device environment

This is a hands-on, onsite role (5 days per week) with strong mentoring and development support.

What We're Looking For

We are intentionally flexible on experience. You might be:

  • A graduate in Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, or related Engineering
  • Someone with 6-12 months of industry experience
  • An early-career engineer looking to specialise in V&V
  • A practical, technically minded individual eager to move into medical devices

What matters most:

  • A genuine interest in healthcare technology
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A structured, analytical mindset
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Good communication skills

If you're looking for a role where you can grow, develop specialist skills, and build a long-term career in medical device engineering - this could be an excellent fit.
