JUNIOR VEHICLE BUILD TECHNICIAN

Want to build and restore classic vehicles rather than work on the same cars every day?

A growing specialist automotive business is looking for a Junior Vehicle Build Technician to join its workshop team.

You'll work on bespoke classic 4x4 vehicles, taking them from donor condition through to finished build.

THE ROLE

As a Junior Vehicle Build Technician, you'll work alongside experienced technicians and develop your practical mechanical skills.

You'll be involved in:

• Stripping donor vehicles

• Cleaning and assessing components

• Chassis, suspension & drivetrain builds

• Bodywork assembly

• Fitting wiring looms, trim & lighting

• Fitting mechanical and galvanised components

• Keeping build records updated

• Maintaining a clean, organised workshop

• Occasional driving to suppliers and other facilities

The ideal Junior Vehicle Build Technician will be:

• Practical and mechanically minded

• Genuinely interested in vehicles

• Keen to learn and develop

• Reliable and hardworking

• Methodical with good attention to detail

• Proud of their workmanship

• A good team player

Previous experience with classic vehicles is not essential.

Practical experience from work, college, an apprenticeship or personal projects is all relevant.

Welding/fabrication experience or an automotive qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.

Full UK driving licence required.
