Our friendly, dynamic and talented team requires a senior nurse with experience in emergency nursing to join them in an exciting opportunity to become part of our nursing team as a Band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse.
This is a rewarding but demanding role that requires a dedicated nurse to lead the team who deliver emergency care to patients and their families in a diverse population of the Wirral.

Main duties of the jobWe are looking for a nurse who is looking to lead in an exciting dynamic busy Emergency Department.
We want an enthusiastic, highly motivated nurse that can demonstrate a kind, caring and compassionate attitude with a desire to provide effective and efficient emergency care.
We also have a dedicated professional development nurse to guide, educate and support programme and work towards national frameworks for emergency nursing.

If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have an enhanced DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 months.
Person Specification Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training- 1st level registered nurse
- Evidence of recent post registration study in a speciality related to A&E e.g. ALS, ATLS, APLS
- Minimum of three years post-registration experience of which two years should be at Primary Nurse or equivalent
- All practitioners with diploma level primary qualification must be working towards higher award in specialist practice (Degree)
- Has identified methods of working effectively under pressure
- Recognises own development needs and able to set personal objectives
- Has identified methods of working effectively under pressure
- Demonstrate sound knowledge base of emergency nursing practice
- Competent in all key skills of A&E nursing practice
- Independent assessment skills related to emergency care
- Awareness of Health policies and the changing NHS environment
- Good time management
- Good problem solving abilities
- Able to prioritise
- Evidence of an initiative which has changed or enhanced clinical practice
- Communicate formally on first contact
- Ensure all communications are open, honest and accurate
