Job Description
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

Laureus is seeking a Junior Production Manager to join a small, dynamic team in leading the production of the annual Laureus World Sports Awards event and show; developing Laureus' 360 communications output (video, social and wider written and digital content) and leading relationship development with key external stakeholders.

The role will primarily work on Laureus' flagship Awards show, supporting the Executive Producers whilst also supporting Laureus' wider year-round content development and production.

The role will additionally manage key relationships related to the delivery of the Laureus World Sports Awards, transferring these to year-round support for Laureus' content and production plans (the primary focus being major global sporting federations, liaising on footage licensing; social media collaborations and wider event and content collaborations).

The role requires significant foreign travel and includes:

SUPPORT TO LAUREUS WORLD SPORTS AWARDS
  • Working as part of the Laureus event and show production team - acting as a point of contact for the external TV production team, ensuring integration with the wider Laureus team (notably in respect of wider event implementation).
  • Researching production angles, stories and elements for inclusion in the Awards show
  • Liaising with selected 3rd party production personnel and teams which fall outside the Awards Production Team.
  • Working closely with Laureus' in-house Production & Broadcast teams to ensure access to content, opportunities is reciprocal
  • Manage the integration of a Line Producer into the overall Production
  • Commissioning and working with selected agency to deliver graphic elements and additional supplementary content for use in and around Awards show
  • Liaising with Laureus' social media team to ensure adaptability of broadcast content to meet social and digital requirements
  • Working alongside Laureus Host Broadcast Manager to align Laureus' Host Broadcaster with production planning (defining kit and technical / staff support) to supplement Production requirements
  • Sourcing archive footage and content for us across Laureus programming, identifying the licence holder and securing licence rights based on the Laureus approach of 'Preferred Client' - where possible developing and leveraging relationships to enable this approach
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
  • Managing key external and third-party content-focused relationships, notably global Sporting Federations (e.g. ATP / WTA / World Athletics / IPC etc)
  • Leading pitches to potential segment funders or facilitators, identifying, pitching-to and delivering 5-6 'promoted' packages a year for Spirit of Sport
  • Ensuring reports are collated and provided to Talent ta to pass onto Talent by way of thanks for their involvement in content
DATA & REPORTING
  • Manage collation and evaluation of Laureus' data and empirical performance statistics across all media
  • Support the annual Laureus Awards Media Evaluation (currently provided by YouGov)
  • Prepare and present monthly performance indicators to management - Identifying lessons and learning from data analysis to inform business and content direction
  • Providing output reporting to Talent and Commercial teams to help them engage and inform 3rd parties, with a view to expanding and continuing collaboration with Laureus
  • Advise and guide editorial and content proposals to ensure appropriate levels of exposure and value for commercial partners can be fully realised without compromising Laureus' editorial credibility
GENERAL
  • Providing support to the Communications Executive Team
  • Logistical support on events/shoots including flight and hotel bookings
  • Managing and overseeing of internal event documents

Additionally, this role may be asked to get involved in wider Richemont activities including, but not limited to, the annual Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, the Richemont General Management Conference, Homo Faber and others.

HOW WILL YOU SUCCEED WITH US?

  • Educated to degree-level in a relevant subject
  • Have some experience of event delivery or media / content production
  • Have strong written and presentational skills

  • Have an understanding of social media, the wider media landscape
  • Have a passion for sport and for storytelling
  • Able to communicate ideas succinctly and with flair
  • Organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
