Junior Field Service Engineer

Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer on behalf of our client, who are expanding the team.

Area to cover - Tipperary, South Limerick, Cork and Wexford

What You Need to Know:

Here's a chance to join a supportive team as a Field Service Engineer, with full training provided. If you enjoy hands on work, this role offers plenty of variety as you'll be servicing well known machinery at various locations.

Your New Job:

You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment at different sites, with a company van, tools, and uniform all provided. The role suits those who can plan their own day and work independently, with support always on hand if you need it.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attend customer sites within your designated area, and outside that area when required to do so, to deal with machine installations, decommissions, breakdowns, maintenance and repairs, cleaning and re decaler, all in accordance with the Service Level Agreements between the Company and its customers and as directed by your line manager.
• Report to the Company, by using the Company Tablet (or by completing service documentation if the Tablet is not available), the outcome of your attendance on site promptly, accurately and diligently, including details of installations and decommissions, meter readings, and any thefts, vandalism or other engineering problems.
• Maintain and keep adequate stock on board your vehicle for machine repairs and rectifying faults.
• Return any defective stock items to the Company's premises by the most suitable means clearly marked with details of the machine serial number and the fault, to help progress evaluation and repair of the component.

What Are We Looking For?:

• Previous experience in field service or a maintenance environment is an advantage
• Qualified electricians are encouraged to apply
• Full driving licence required
• Proven ability to plan daily routes and work on your own initiative
• Willingness to learn, with a proactive approach to solving problems
