Junior E&I Technician - Onshore

What You'll Do

As a Junior E&I Technician, you'll be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems. You'll diagnose faults, execute repairs, and ensure all work is properly documented in the asset management system. Your daily work will be aligned with the maintenance schedule, but you'll also respond to priority tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on electrical and instrumentation assets
• Troubleshoot and repair technical faults to ensure uptime and operational safety
• Execute modifications and upgrades according to technical drawings and planning
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure all work meets strict procedural standards
• Liaise with operations teams to coordinate activities safely and effectively
• Maintain compliance with NEN3140 & NEN3840 for electrical safety
• Ensure technical documentation is updated, including as-built markups and reports
• Submit daily reports including technical findings, equipment status, and material usage
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and safety awareness on site

Requirements:

• Mid to high-level technical diploma (MTS level 4) in electrical or instrumentation disciplines
• Fluent in Dutch (native level required); basic English proficiency
• Resident of the Netherlands and able to commute to Alkmaar

Working knowledge of:

• PLC systems, control systems, metering, VSDs
• Gas turbines, compressors, pumps, and other rotating equipment
• ATEX standards and electrical safety in hazardous environments
• CMMS platforms (preferably Maximo)
• Microsoft Office (Office 365)

Preferred:

• Certification for LV and HV installations (appointed status)
• Familiarity with safe systems of work, permit to work (PtW), and hazard mitigation
