Job Description
Junior BCAR Coordinator

A leading Irish Main Contractor is seeking a proactive and organised Junior BCAR Coordinator to join their growing team in Dublin on a range of commercial, industrial, and educational projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Carry out quality inspections on site in conjunction with the BCAR Manager / Senior BCAR Coordinator.
  • Assist with the collation and management of project documentation in line with Building Control Amendment Regulations (BCAR) 2014.
  • Liaise with Assigned Certifiers, Resident Engineers, and site teams regarding NCRs and close-out of observations.
  • Support the coordination of commencement notices and inspection plans across live projects.
  • Track and maintain inspection plans throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the collection and compilation of product certification from contractors.
  • Monitor and track open compliance issues and outstanding actions.
  • Coordinate with all project stakeholders to ensure BCAR compliance is maintained.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly compliance and progress reports for site and project teams.
  • Support audits, quality reviews, and compliance assessments as required.
  • Promote best practice in quality management, inspection processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Stay up to date with Building Regulations and BCAR requirements.
  • Carry out additional duties as required by the business.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with a Main Contractor (commercial experience desirable).
  • Third level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Quantity Surveying.
  • Strong understanding of Building Regulations and quality control processes.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong administrative and organisational ability with excellent attention to detail.
  • Team player with a proactive approach and willingness to learn.
  • Committed to continuous professional development.
  • Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certs desirable.
  • Full driving licence desirable.
