Junior AV Installation Engineer Birmingham & Midlands Region (with occasional overnight stays) £26,000 - £32,000 + Company Vehicle + Specialist Tools & Equipment + Manufacturer Training + Ongoing Technical Development + Career Progression

Are you looking to build a long-term career within the AV industry, working alongside an experienced Lead Engineer on high-profile university and commercial installation projects while receiving hands-on training and support to develop into a fully qualified AV Installation Engineer?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing AV integration business delivering cutting-edge audiovisual installations across teaching spaces, lecture theatres and commercial environments throughout the Midlands. You will work as part of a dedicated two-person installation team, assisting with the delivery of high-quality AV projects for a major university client and other commercial customers.

You will support the installation, testing and commissioning of AV systems while developing your technical knowledge under the guidance of an experienced Lead Engineer. This role offers structured mentoring, manufacturer training and ongoing development opportunities, making it ideal for someone looking to establish themselves within the AV industry.

The ideal candidate will have strong practical skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Previous experience within AV installation, structured cabling, electrical work or a similar technical environment would be highly advantageous.

The Role:
  • Assist with AV installations across education and commercial environments
  • Support the installation, termination and testing of AV systems
  • Work alongside a Lead Engineer on site-based projects
  • Maintain high installation standards and safe working practices
  • Travel throughout the Midlands with occasional overnight stays
The Person:
  • Previous AV installation, electrical or structured cabling experience preferred
  • Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn
  • Good practical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working on customer sites and within live environments
  • Full UK driving licence
  • ECS/CSCS card and Enhanced DBS, or willingness to obtain
