About the Role

This is a key role providing high-level administrative and organisational support to the SAB Independent Chair and the Head of Adult Safeguarding. You will play a vital part in ensuring safeguarding processes run smoothly, helping to improve outcomes for vulnerable adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a central point of contact for enquiries, ensuring timely and appropriate responses
  • Organise and support a wide range of meetings, including safeguarding reviews and multi-agency forums
  • Produce high-quality reports, minutes, presentations, and correspondence
  • Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and office resources
  • Handle and analyse confidential and sensitive data
  • Support safeguarding reviews, governance processes, and partnership work
  • Monitor budgets and assist with financial administration
  • Lead on specific projects and deputise for the Business Coordinator when required
About You

You will be:

  • Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills
  • Experienced in administration, including arranging meetings and minute taking
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional, adaptable, and calm under pressure
  • Skilled in handling confidential information with discretion
  • A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
Essential Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards it
  • Proven experience in an administrative role managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable
  • Experience in a local government or safeguarding environment
  • Knowledge of Adult Safeguarding, the Care Act 2014, and GDPR
