Our client, a well-established and reputable engineering and manufacturing company, is currently seeking an experienced Plater / Steel Fabricator to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of high-quality steel components, working from engineering drawings and specifications. The role involves manufacturing a variety of products including structural steelwork, silos, gantries, and staircases.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication and assembly of structural steel components
• Manufacturing silos, gantries, stairs, and general steelwork
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
• Welding to a high standard, ensuring quality and accuracy
• Maintaining health and safety standards at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plater / Steel Fabricator
• Ability to work from engineering drawings
• Competent with hand tools and power tools
• Welding experience essential
• Stainless steel fabrication experience is advantageous
• Welding qualifications desirable but not essential
