Java engineer

We are looking for a skilled Java Engineer to join our client in their International Payments Processing team. You'll contribute to building and enhancing critical payment systems using modern technologies in a mature Agile and DevOps environment.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain Back End services, APIs, and microservices.
• Extend and optimize a high-availability payment engine.
• Take ownership of code from development through deployment and support.

Tech Stack:

• Languages/Frameworks: Java 11+, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Integration
• Messaging: Kafka, JMS (ActiveMQ, IBM MQ, or similar)
• CI/CD & DevOps: Azure DevOps, Git, Cucumber (BDD), Docker, Kubernetes
• Databases: Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL/data modelling
• Other: REST APIs, microservices, XML, XFB/S3 file processing

What You Bring:

• 7+ years of Back End Java development experience
• Strong CI/CD and containerization skills
• Familiarity with distributed systems and messaging platforms
• Experience in the financial or payments domain is a plus
• A proactive, DevOps-oriented engineering mindset
