Job Description
Software Developer Contract (React / Java)

Duration: 6 months
Rate: £500-£600/day (Inside IR35)
Clearance: Active SC Clearance required
Location: UK-based, hybrid - 2 days per month in London

A public-sector digital consultancy is seeking an experienced Software Developer for a 6-month contract. You'll work in a multidisciplinary team delivering secure, user-centred digital services.

Key Skills
  • Strong React experience
  • Solid Java backend development (Spring, REST APIs, microservices)
  • Secure development knowledge (OWASP, authentication, etc.)
  • Comfortable in Agile/DevSecOps teams
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain React front-end interfaces and Java services
  • Participate in architecture decisions and code reviews
  • Implement secure-by-design practices
Requirements
  • Active SC Clearance (mandatory)
  • Proven commercial experience with both React and Java
