Jamf Software Engineer - Enterprise Environment
Location: Remote (UK-Based)
Contract Length: 12 months (rolling)
Rate: £450.00 per day - Outside IR35

About the Role

We are seeking a Jamf professional with extensive experience supporting and managing Jamf Pro in a large-scale enterprise environment. This is a long-term contract opportunity for a highly skilled individual to contribute to a critical Apple device management estate as part of a well-established infrastructure team.

You will be working remotely with stakeholders across the business, providing advanced support, automation, and system enhancements to drive operational efficiency and maintain high standards of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Application packaging and deployment of Mac software

• Creation, maintenance, and updating of Jamf policies

• Testing macOS updates and beta releases for compatibility and stability

• Developing and maintaining scripts, primarily in BASH, with working experience required in Python and Swift

• Advanced troubleshooting of Jamf-related and macOS system issues

• Managing change rollouts, including occasional out-of-hours work

• Performing system changes and upgrades within Jamf Pro as updates become available

Candidate Requirements

• Jamf 400 Certification (current and demonstrable)

• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Jamf Pro in a complex or enterprise-scale environment

• Strong understanding of macOS architecture and Apple ecosystem

• Proven track record in application packaging and software life cycle management

• Solid Scripting skills, particularly in BASH, with working knowledge of Python and Swift

• Familiarity with automation, CI/CD tools, or Git-based workflows is an advantage

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to act as an escalation point

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Comfortable working independently in a remote setup
