You will contribute to the ongoing maintenance of network services, including routine firmware patching of equipment such as firewalls and you will carry out physical hardware replacement and respond to connectivity issues or physical outages.

What the role involves
  • Supporting the maintenance, monitoring, and daily operation of the University's data and voice network infrastructure, ensuring availability and reliability of services
  • Implementing standard configuration changes, including port/VLAN updates and interface modifications, to support user and service requirements
  • Participating in planned out-of-hours maintenance activities as part of the Networks team rota
Qualifications
  • Educated to A level or equivalent experience with hands on support in an enterprise network operations environment

  • 43 days' leave per year (personal leave, bank holidays and additional days allocated for the Christmas period, pro rata for part time staff)
  • Excellent pension scheme with generous employer contributions
  • Corporate employee funded healthcare plan, in partnership with Benenden Health
