Job Description
IT Service Lifecycle Manager

Location: Birmingham
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 per annum
Department: Information Technology Services - Service Management
Reports To: Head of IT Service Desk and IT Service Transition
Working Hours: 35 hours per week (9:30am - 5:30pm). Agile and flexible working patterns considered. Hybrid working: up to 40% from home, 60% in office.

Role Overview

La Fosse are seeking an experienced IT Service Lifecycle Manager to join our global Infrastructure & Operations team. This role is pivotal in managing the full lifecycle of IT services, ensuring they are strategised, designed, transitioned, operated, and continually improved in line with ITIL best practices. You will also lead our Change Advisory Board (CAB) and oversee key processes such as Service Portfolio Management, Release Management, and Change Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Lifecycle Management: Lead the process to ensure services meet business needs and are scalable and sustainable.
  • Service Portfolio Management: Maintain an accurate, up-to-date service portfolio aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Release Management: Plan, test, and deploy software and service releases with minimal disruption.
  • Change Management: Manage changes effectively and facilitate CAB meetings.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal teams and third parties, ensuring compliance with IT policies and security standards.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualifications:

    • ITIL Foundation v4 (preferred)
    • Advanced ITIL certifications (preferred)
    • Project management certifications (desirable)
  • Experience:

    • Minimum 7 years in IT Service Management
    • At least 3 years in a leadership role managing ITIL processes
    • Proven track record in service lifecycle management and service transitions
    • Experience managing virtual CAB meetings and stakeholder relationships
  • Skills:

    • Expertise in IT service lifecycle and ITIL processes
    • Strong knowledge of Change and Release Management
    • Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy)
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
