IT Projects and Services Portfolio Manager

IT Projects and Services Portfolio Manager is required by a large, and well established IT company to lead and manage a growing portfolio of IT projects and business-as-usual (BAU) services. This role reports to the Group CIO and owns the end-to-end portfolio, ensuring it aligns with strategy and is delivered successfully across multiple programmes.

Responsibilities:

• Leading and maintaining the enterprise-wide portfolio of IT projects and BAU services.
• Providing programme oversight, including risk management, governance, and assurance.
• Managing resource planning and allocation across the portfolio.
• Overseeing financial management, forecasting, and budget control.
• Ensuring portfolio alignment with business and technology strategy.
• Preparing high-quality reports for senior leadership, review forums, and board meetings.
• Maintaining data quality and accuracy across portfolio reporting.
• Working closely with the Programme Director to support major technology rollouts.

Required experience and skills:

• Proven experience managing a complex IT portfolio within a large organisation.
• Deep understanding of portfolio governance, risk, and financial management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
