The RoleWe are looking for an IT Manager (Head of IT Operations) who will act as the primary owner and point of contact for all internal IT operations at Nevis. This role is responsible for ensuring that Nevis' IT environment is secure, compliant, scalable, and reliable, while supporting both business and engineering teams.
You will own IT operations end-to-end - from identity and access management, device and vendor management, and onboarding/off-boarding, to security compliance processes (SOC) and audit readiness - working closely with Engineering, Security, and People teams.
What You'll DoAct as the single point of accountability for IT operations across Nevis
Own administration of Google Workspace (GSuite), including user lifecycle management, access controls, and security settings
Manage user access and identity management across all internal systems and tools, enforcing least-privilege access
Own end-to-end onboarding and off-boarding from an IT perspective, in close partnership with People and Engineering teams
Own endpoint and mobile device management (MDM) for laptops and mobile devices, including security standards, inventory, and lifecycle managementLead operational execution of IT security policies and compliance requirements, including SOC (SOC 2) controls
Manage compliance tooling such as Vanta, including evidence collection, control monitoring, and audit preparation
Act as the primary IT partner for the Engineering team, supporting tooling and access needs while maintaining security and compliance
Manage IT and security vendors, including selection, renewals, licensing, and performance
Develop, maintain, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and documentation
Own IT incident management, troubleshooting, and escalations, ensuring minimal disruption to the business
5+ years of experience in IT Operations, Systems Administration, or IT Management
Proven experience acting as the primary owner / head of IT operations in a growing organisation
Strong hands on experience with Google Workspace (G Suite)
Solid experience with identity and access management, MDM, and endpoint security
Experience supporting security compliance frameworks, ideally SOC 2
Hands on experience with Vanta or similar security compliance platforms
Comfortable working closely with Engineering teams and supporting technical workflows
Security first mindset with strong attention to operational detail
Highly organised, proactive, and able to operate independently in a fast paced environment
Experience in fintech, SaaS, or other regulated environments
Familiarity with tools such as Okta, JumpCloud, Jamf, or similar
Experience supporting remote first or distributed teams
Experience improving IT processes in high growth startups or scale ups
