IT Infrastructure Engineer (First Line)

Communicate Technology is on the lookout for a proactive and customer-focused First Line Engineer to join our technical support team at our Wynyard HQ.

As the first point of contact for our users, you'll play a vital role in helping resolve IT issues efficiently - from password resets to troubleshooting Windows 11 problems - ensuring our clients can get back to doing what they do best.

What you'll be doing:

• Provide 1st line support via phone, email, and remote tools
• Troubleshoot issues across Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
• Assist with user rights, accounts, passwords, and basic security administration
• Handle technical queries and service requests, escalating when needed
• Keep users updated and deliver outstanding customer service
• Log, manage, and resolve incidents in line with SLA agreements

What we're looking for:

• At least 1 year of experience in IT support or system administration
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10/11
• Basic understanding of networking (ping, trace route, etc.)
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 admin tasks
• Great communication skills - able to translate tech into plain English
• Keen to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
• Previous experienc
