Job Description

We're looking for an IT Environments Manager to take charge of cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation, keeping mission-critical systems fast, secure, and rock-solid.

If you're a DevOps-savvy leader who thrives on solving complex challenges and building high-performance infrastructure, this is your next move.

This leading specialist commercial insurance provider is built on delivering exceptional service, expert risk management, and robust technology solutions to support their clients worldwide. As part of their continued growth and investment in technology, they are seeking an IT Environments Manager to oversee the design, configuration, maintenance, and security of their critical IT environments.

What you will need:

  • At least 5 years of experience in IT environments, systems administration, or DevOps, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Experience managing complex IT environments, including development, testing, staging, and production setups.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure automation tools (eg, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Experience with containerisation (eg, Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures is a plus.
  • Networking & Virtualisation: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and virtualisation technologies
  • Security & Compliance: Experience implementing environment security policies and compliance with GDPR, DORA, and industry best practices

This is a pivotal leadership role where you will manage a combination of in-house and third-party resources to ensure the development, testing, staging, and production environments are reliable, scalable, and secure. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, infrastructure, and quality assurance teams, ensuring seamless deployments, optimal performance, and adherence to security and compliance standards.

If you thrive in managing complex IT landscapes, are passionate about automation and performance optimisation, and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we'd like to hear from you.

This is an opportunity to make a real impact on the resilience and efficiency of the systems that underpin their business success.
