About the business


We are driving a transformative strategic agenda called "Positive Motion", aimed at greening our revenue streams and fostering sustainable growth. As part of this vision, we are looking for a highly skilled IT Business Process Analyst to join our IT Trading team in Madrid.


This role will be responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and designing business processes, with two main objectives, Design new processes and update current processes aligned with the business evolution, and the second one will be to analyse the processes on the technological side - simplifying, integrating, automating, and modernizing our systems. The analyst also could lead digitalization and process automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and support our broader transformation goals.


The responsibilities we'll trust you with


  • Define, document, and analyze trading processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, simplification, and efficiency.
  • Lead and support digitalization and automation initiatives within the Trading department.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to identify and implement robust digital and automated solutions.
  • Support Business teams in designing processes for new trading activities or business lines.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation, including the Trading function matrix and segregation of duties matrix, ensuring alignment with organizational changes.


What are we looking for?


  • Education: University degree in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science or related.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience, ideally in process analysis or optimization roles.
  • Experience in process mapping and documentation; experience with trading-related processes (especially in Oil or G&P) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) solutions in the trading domain is highly valued.
  • Languages: Fluent in Spanish & English.


Competencies:


  • Open and flexible mindset, with the ability to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and autonomy.
  • High level of initiative and proactivity, with a results-oriented approach.
  • Interest in IT and process analysis, with technical aptitude considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of lean methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
