IT Assembly & Configuration Technician

As an IT Assembly & Configuration Technician based in Milton Keynes, you will join a team assembling self checkout systems and performing light technical setup. This full time, temporary role pays £13.50 per hour. Your duties are roughly 90% hardware and 10% software, including constructing units, installing operating systems, testing components, and following build documentation. You will collaborate with colleagues to meet production goals while maintaining safety standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assembling self checkout units and related hardware components
• Basic IT configuration, such as installing operating systems or software images
• Testing and troubleshooting hardware to ensure everything works as expected
• Following build instructions and maintaining accurate documentation
• Collaborating with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
• Maintaining safety and quality standards throughout the process
