Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Applications Change Manager to join our team!

As IT Applications Change Manager, you will lead the IT applications team and be accountable for the operation, maintenance, delivery, and support of the business applications. You will be responsible for developing the applications strategy and roadmap, managing the lifecycle of software applications, ensuring they support the business effectively and align with strategic objectives. In addition, you will be responsible for line managing an IT Trainer, responsible for designing, documenting and delivering training to ensure colleagues have the necessary technical skills to perform their roles.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the IT applications team and be accountable for the operation, maintenance, delivery, and support of business applications.
  • Develop the applications strategy and roadmap; manage the lifecycle of software applications to support business objectives.
  • Ensure applications align with strategic objectives and deliver efficient business support.
  • Line-manage an IT Trainer and oversee the design, documentation, and delivery of training.
Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of IT applications.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, manage performance, and foster a positive working environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to think strategically about technology and how it can be used to drive business objectives.
  • Keep abreast of latest developments in the sector around applications and cloud services to ensure the best tools and practices are adopted.
  • Extensive experience in an IT Applications role.
  • ITIL Certification.
  • Project management qualification (Prince2 or Agile).
  • Experience of managing teams.
