We're creating a new Private Equity-backed FMCG business, carved out of a FTSE 15 multinational, and we're looking for an IT&D Senior Manager, R&D to build the function from scratch. This isn't about inheriting old systems - it's about designing the strategy, platforms, processes, and team that will define the company's future. The essentials

• Typically 8-15 years' experience in R&D IT/Digital, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Proven success delivering large-scale transformation and implementation programmes.
• Strong knowledge of R&D digital technologies: PLM, LIMS, QMS, Regulatory, Portfolio Management, Consumer Safety.
• Demonstrated people leadership - able to build, manage and grow a team from scratch.
• Entrepreneurial, agile, resilient - thrives in a fast-paced carve-out with ambiguity and pace.

What you'll do

• Lead and build the R&D IT&D team (3 direct reports to be hired with your input).
• Design and implement the digital ecosystem for R&D - PLM, LIMS, QMS, Regulatory, Consumer Safety, Portfolio Management, Digital Simulation.
• Partner globally with R&D, Regulatory, Quality and Manufacturing.
• Manage major system integrator programmes (> $100m scale) under TSA deadlines.
• Shape the systems that will power a new global FMCG business for decades to come.

Package

• Base salary: £72,900 - £91,200
• Car allowance: £8,400
• Bonus: 20%
• Pension: 10%
• Private healthcare (family cover)
• 25 days annual leave

Location: Hull (hybrid, 3 days/week in office)
Travel: Approximately 25% in the first 6 months, then less (Europe, US, Brazil, China, etc.)
