Job Description
Overview 
Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking an IT & AV Support Specialist to join the Information Services team providing a high-quality, responsive support service to all University staff and students.
Responsibilities- Provide front-line support for the deployment, maintenance and use of all computers and classroom-based equipment at the University.
- Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service for students, academic and teaching staff, and professional services staff throughout the year.
- Offer second-line IT support and work with specialist technical teams to provide solutions to users from diverse backgrounds in demanding environments.
- Solid and demonstrable understanding of MS Windows and Networking (gained in a corporate environment).
- Experience in providing second-line support and working with specialist technical teams.
- Experience with audio-visual equipment in a classroom environment; experience in higher education is an advantage.
- Permanent contract, full-time (35 hours per week).
- Salary: £34,827 rising to £38,981 per year.
- Rotas: Monday to Friday 8:00-16:00 or 13:00-21:00; additional times or weekends with notice.
