Summary of Role Responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI) assigned within the projects function (PCI Pharma Services Ireland site) relating to project management including but not limited to: planning, defining, executing and closing NPI projects; cross-functional collaboration and resource management; tracking progress and reporting through defined governance structures; managing risk within the project and planning mitigation; communicating with key stakeholders and management and evaluating projects at close stage.This role involves direct interaction with clients of PCI and the leading of those projects sponsored by them. The candidate will be an integral and central part of the business working with several functions on a daily basis and responsible for regular communication with each of those functions. Key Responsibilities Set up and register new projects including updating site NPI tracker, requesting project packs and raising a change request for the NPI. Host client (external) and team (internal) kicks off meetings followed by regular project meetings communicating the timeline, risks, actions and decisions of the project. Ensure each NPI project has a well-developed and agreed timeline that will enable projects to be delivered on time. Identify the critical paths and monitor throughout their lifecycle. Working cross-functionally, coordinate and evaluate resources assigned to ensure there is appropriate resource within the team and that tasks are appropriately delegated and tracked to completion. Provide best in class service to our customers, representing PCI in all engagement including on-site project reviews and steering meetings. Support initiatives that help PCI maintain high levels of pristine customer service. Communicate regularly and effectively within the business ensuring all area managers are kept informed of the status, risks and success of each NPI. Report regularly through the PCI defined governance structures for NPI, external and internal. Identify opportunity for improvement throughout the NPI project lifecycles and seek to harmonize on projects with our global sites and establish improved ways of working. Promote engagement at all levels and stages of NPI projects. Encourage individuals to contribute to the success of each project and illustrate benefits brought about. Build, develop and sustain the knowledge, capability and competency with the NPI team to support ongoing and changing technologies employed to meet the business objectives. Ensure safe work practices are being followed at all times, report any near misses immediately to the EHS (Environmental, Health & safety) Department. Carry out various other additional tasks that may be required from time to time in accordance with the overall goal of the company. Knowledge / Skills & Experience Essential: Educated to EQF (European Qualifications Framework) level 6 in a Technical, Management, Engineering or a Science subject. 2 years' experience working in a fast-paced industry in a project management role. Proven track record of showing how results were delivered through management/leadership of others. Capability to set and manage clear goals, communicate these clearly and ensure progress to completion meeting predefined targets. Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities. Proficient utilization of software packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio and a high level of computer literacy. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting skills. The successful candidate should display a dynamic and proactive approach to manage problems. Self-motivated with a results driven approach. Adaptable and ability to work collaboratively. Proficient in Microsoft Office products (incl. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) Desirable: Educated to EQF (European Qualifications Framework) level 7 (e.g. Technical, Management, Engineering or a Science subject) Leadership qualification obtained within the bio/pharmaceutical industry.
