Ireland Head of Financial Reporting

The Ireland Head of Financial Reporting is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of activities associated with Financial Reporting.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & People Management: Lead, manage, and foster the professional development of a high-performing team, including performance management and strategic workforce planning.
• Client Relationship Management: Build strong relationships, fostering growth, and effectively resolving escalations.
• Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships, foster growth, and effectively resolve escalations with global internal cross-functional teams, and external parties.
• Financial Reporting Delivery: Ensure high-quality, timely client deliveries.
• Operational Escalation: Act as the Senior escalation point for critical operational queries and complex issues.
• Risk & Compliance: Implement and maintain robust risk management, internal controls and quality standards, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Technical: Be a technical leader in Financial Reporting for Irish funds.
• Process Optimization: Have an inquisitive mindset, drive and champion continuous process improvement initiatives, to enhance operational efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience
• Chartered Accountant, or equivalent, preferred
• Experience within financial markets and fund accounting
• Experience in financial services, client management, project management, strategic management, operational management and resource and expense management
• Experience with people management and working with multiple stakeholders
• Advanced knowledge of accounting concepts, financial services and global financial markets
• Experience of Multifonds, InvestOne, DFin, Unity, NXT beneficial to role

Education

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
