We are partnering with a global asset manager to appoint an Investment Risk Oversight Manager. This is a strong opportunity for a risk professional seeking broad exposure across investment oversight, governance and strategic risk initiatives within a complex global platform.
The role provides independent oversight of investment risks across private and public market portfolios, covering market, credit, liquidity, counterparty and ESG risks. The successful candidate will work closely with portfolio managers and senior stakeholders to deliver robust challenge, forward-looking risk analysis and high-quality reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor investment risk exposures across funds and strategies.
- Review and challenge stress testing, scenario analysis and portfolio construction.
- Deliver independent risk analysis and thematic deep dives.
- Support governance and regulatory obligations, including UCITS/MiFID requirements.
- Prepare concise risk reporting for senior stakeholders and committees.
- Escalate material risk issues where appropriate.
- Contribute to policy, framework and control enhancements.
- Support development of risk dashboards, analytics and automation initiatives.
- Drive strong risk culture and regulatory discipline across the business.
- Investment risk, portfolio risk or quantitative analysis experience within asset management, capital markets advisory, or fund services.
- Strong knowledge of alternative investments desirable.
- Understanding of portfolio construction, market risk and investment products.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including UCITS and MiFID.
- Experience with risk tools and strong analytical and technical skills including Python, SQL, Excel/VBA or similar.
- Experience presenting to committees or senior stakeholders advantageous.
- CFA, FRM or similar qualifications beneficial.
